New xt5 from Cadillac – for real mods
Cadillac has always been a car for people with a conservative taste – the company was in no hurry to change the design of their cars, and as a result, they all looked weighty, massive and solid. But as time goes on, consumer behavior changes, and Cadillac has to adapt to the new fashion trends. So, recently, the company announced excellent news to all motorists: new XT5 will be presented soon – an off-roader that received a sports extension, like its predecessors XT4 and XT6.
This decision should make the representative class more revealing and aggressive. Probably, fans of the brand will be able to look at the new model soon, during the Chicago Auto Show 2019 exhibition, however, this is not yet confirmed information – perhaps the company will not have time to prepare new XT5 for this presentation.
What is known about new XT5?
Previously, the automaker Cadillac has repeatedly promised to present the new XT5 in a completely unique form – and now, finally, launching the Sport Edition on the market, it can show us something completely original. The car will have a glossy black grille with electroplated echo; 20-inch diamond cut Diamond wheels, a special approach to the front LED-headlights. True, on the technical side of the question, everything remains the same – no innovations are provided, all changes occurred only in the appearance of the car. The 3.6-liter engine has a power of 310 horsepower, with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The SUV is built on the front-wheel drive, but you can still pay extra and get the all-wheel drive version.
It is noteworthy that the decision to release a more aggressive version of the strictly SUV Cadillac made after he noticed sales growth of the base XT5. In addition, the successes of other companies, whose profits have risen strongly after the release of exclusive design modifications, have also influenced. In any case, this solution should expand the standard range of luxury-class versions of Luxury and Premium Luxury – although here you can argue about how such a type of car can even be “standard”. New XT5 in sports performance will cost the new owner a few thousand more.
In addition to the grille and new wheels, the car will also have transparent taillights and stylish steps. Two types of trim are available for the interior, both in dark colors, for a perfect combination with sports pedals and decorative aluminum elements.
In both versions, in the basic version there is a package of active safety options for the Driver Awareness Package, but from above you can add Driver Assist Package, which implies adaptive cruise control, parking sensors and automatic braking. However, this service is possible only with the purchase of the Premium Luxury modification.
The sports version of new XT5 should hit the market as early as this spring, but these dates may move a little. In addition, the company can change its plans, since, according to insider data, the automaker is already working on two more options for the design of off-road vehicles to comply with modern trends more closely.
